As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I was an experienced therapist and had spent years helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges.
Then, after more than 20 years of marriage, I suddenly found myself facing my own divorce. I was terrified and overwhelmed—furious one moment, heartbroken the next. I didn’t know where to turn. I was overwhelmed and felt like I was overwhelming my loved ones with my pain. My family was supportive but not objective. My friends, caught in the middle, chose sides. My children were confused and conflicted. My lawyer, while kind and competent, wasn’t trained to help me cope emotionally—and every conversation came with a high hourly rate.
During that traumatic time, I desperately needed specialized support—someone who truly understood both the emotional and practical challenges of divorce – but I struggled to find the right kind of guidance. That realization became my turning point.
After experiencing my own painful divorce in 2016, I made the decision to pivot my mental health counseling practice to specialize in individuals impacted by divorce. It was through navigating my own divorce that I realized just how much was missing for people in my situation. That realization led me to shift my focus from traditional therapy to divorce coaching. And that is how Blossom Coaching was born
I have made it my purpose and passion to become the support person I wish I had during my own divorce. Today, as a divorce coach, I help others navigate this journey with clarity, confidence, and resilience, so they don’t have to go through it alone.
I’ve walked the path. Let me join you on yours.

"Kim has been so amazing to work with, relatable, kind, and incredibly helpful in finding different solutions or ways to deal with problems/stress, etc. I especially love her recommendation that when overwhelmed to break things into little chunks and deal with them bit by bit, I use that strategy often now!"

"I really valued and enjoyed the experience. I loved how Kim "read" the group and tailored the program to benefit the members of the group. Kim's compassion shines through :) I have already utilized the tools that I gained in the group. Thank you!"

"I had hit a point in my divorce process where I was truly struggling to acknowledge what I was going through mostly because I felt alone and didn’t know how to cope with my thoughts and feelings. Not only did Kim as the facilitator push me to acknowledge and name those feelings but to also start my journey of healing from the trauma my divorce has caused. I feel like the group discussions (wonderful that they were kept small!) and the handouts have been truly beneficial for me. The way Kim tailored the discussion topics to the group’s needs was extremely helpful. She was open to feedback and suggestions on what the group wanted and needed to learn about which was fantastic.

"Kim was kind to each and every [group] member which meant a lot to me. I still have healing to do on this Divorce Rollercoaster (take the course and you’ll understand the terminology!) but I feel participating in this Divorce Support Group with Kim at the helm has allowed me to not only start the [divorce] process and make some progress, but also set me up with the resources to continue forward!"

"I have grown so much since the beginning of our 3 month support group journey. I'm happier and more confident in myself and the decisions I make. I've learned how to be kinder to myself and a lot about what Self Care means. I have more clarity on the direction I'm going. And it all leads to a much better me. Thank you so much for all that you have taught me."

"Kimberly is an excellent counselor. She is smart, empathetic, and gets right into solutions and positive processes that enable growth necessary for self-empowerment. Her support and partnership in helping me identify approaches that will benefit my long-term success are invaluable. Her communication style is excellent--the methodology she uses to present scenarios helps to shift perspective --thus increasing my ability to be proactive instead of overwhelmed by issues. I highly recommend Kimberly."

"Kim is very supportive and non-judgmental and makes you feel comfortable. As a fellow divorced, single mom, she understands the challenges I am facing. She is caring, calming and trustworthy. She has a way of helping me see things in a different light and realizing what is important and what I need to really just let go of. "
